Jolt Energy Drink is a cola with a lot of caffeine, which originates from the United States and was created in 1985 by C.J. Rapp. At the beginning it was sold in a red aluminum tin with blue bolts of lightning streaking across the side. It’s now famous logo has the word jolt in capital letters across the can.

The first few years of the jolt energy drink’s existence were quite controversial, especially with parents of a family. Its initial advertisements often made use of sexual content looking for the attention of the young people’s market, probably the male half. Also, the early recipe of jolt cola contained more sugar than its current formula, but it still has as much sugar in it as other popular Brands of cola drinks. The drink usually comes in two sizes, those being a 12 oz version and a 16 oz version. There are also many flavors such as grape, orange and raspberry. You can expect to pay about a dollar for the 12 ounce can, and although this is more expensive than a standard can of Coca-Cola, jolt energy drinks offer a sustained recharge of your energy levels! And as proof of this, the 12 ounce can of jolt contains 140mg of caffeine as well as 1400mg of taurine, which is an energy-delivering chemical like no other.
